The mission behind TUNED MVMNT is simple: we support organizations by designing personalized and communal wellness experiences for humans to balance their nervous systems and experience more joy.
OUR WHY
Connection.
Our why is rooted in deep understanding of the human experience. We all crave deep, meaningful bonds with those around us—yet in today’s fast-paced and stressful work-life culture, many of us are becoming more alienated from the very thing for which our brains are wired: heartfelt connection.
To refuel that core human need, we’ve created TUNED MVMNT.

Breathwork, movement, and meditation are powerful tools that can positively impact the nervous system and neural pathways:
* Breathwork: Controlled breathing exercises, such as diaphragmatic breathing or box breathing, activate the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting relaxation and reducing stress. Over time, consistent breathwork can help rewire neural pathways associated with stress responses, making individuals more resilient to daily pressures.
* Movement: Regular physical activity, tailored to an individual's needs, can help release built-up tension and trigger the release of endorphins, which reduce stress and improve mood. Movement practices, like yoga or tai chi, enhance proprioception, the awareness of one's body in space, aiding in regulating the nervous system.
* Meditation: Meditation techniques, like mindfulness or loving-kindness meditation, encourage a state of focused awareness. This practice can rewire neural pathways by reducing the size and activity of the amygdala, the brain's stress center while strengthening the prefrontal cortex, which is responsible for executive functions and emotional regulation.

Stress and Anxiety: An activated nervous system can lead to heightened stress and anxiety levels, which can hinder an employee's ability to focus, make decisions, and handle workplace pressures effectively.
Reduced Focus and Concentration: Chronic stress from an overactive nervous system can impair an employee's ability to concentrate, leading to decreased productivity and potential errors in tasks.
Impaired Decision-Making: An imbalanced nervous system may affect an employee's decision-making abilities, leading to poor judgments and suboptimal choices in various work-related situations.
Emotional Disturbances: Mood swings, irritability, and emotional instability can disrupt an employee's professional interactions, potentially leading to conflicts with colleagues and superiors.
Physical Health Issues: An activated nervous system can contribute to physical health problems, such as headaches, digestive issues, and sleep disturbances, which can result in absenteeism and reduced work performance.
Burnout Risk: Prolonged activation of the nervous system can increase the risk of burnout, causing exhaustion, decreased job satisfaction, and a decline in overall performance.
Communication Challenges: High stress levels may lead to difficulties in expressing thoughts and emotions clearly, affecting teamwork and collaboration with colleagues.
Low Resilience: Employees with imbalanced nervous systems may struggle to bounce back from setbacks or handle workplace challenges with ease, affecting their ability to adapt and grow in their roles.
Inconsistent Energy Levels: Fluctuating energy levels due to nervous system imbalances can impact an employee's ability to maintain consistent performance throughout the workday.
Strained Relationships: An imbalanced nervous system can affect an employee's personal relationships, causing conflicts and stress at home that can spill over into the workplace.
Decreased Job Satisfaction: Overall job satisfaction may decline as a result of chronic stress and an imbalanced nervous system, potentially leading to decreased motivation and engagement.
Limited Career Growth: Reduced job performance and decision-making abilities may hinder career advancement opportunities and professional development.
It's important for both employees and employers to recognize the potential impact of nervous system activation on workplace performance. Addressing stress management, promoting well-being initiatives, and providing resources for employees to regulate their nervous systems can be beneficial in mitigating these negative effects and supporting a healthier, more productive work environment.

These practices offer multifaceted benefits:
* Personally: Employees experience reduced stress, improved mental clarity, enhanced emotional resilience, and better overall well-being. They often report better sleep, increased energy, and greater satisfaction with their work and personal lives.
* Collectively: When employees engage in these practices together, it fosters a sense of community and support within the workplace. This can lead to improved teamwork, communication, and a more positive company culture.
* For the Business: The benefits ripple into the business environment as well. Reduced stress and improved mental health translate into higher productivity, lower absenteeism, and decreased healthcare costs. TESTIMONIALS
Words from the Heart
A letter from our founder.
When we’re born, we need love and connection, yet often, somewhere along the way, a single moment can shock our nervous system and disrupt how we see the world. This moment of shock is what we call trauma—an experience that occurs in 70% of us at some point in our lives. I define trauma as an invisible scar that challenges your ability to grow socially, psychologically, and sometimes, economically. Epigenetics shows that trauma can be handed down to up to 14 generations. The impact of stress and trauma is profound. This reality is the driving force behind my creation of TUNED MVMNT. Propelled on a personal level by my past traumas from childhood, I felt it was my destiny to pursue this passion project. Growing up as a mixed-race human in Georgia during the early 90s, my younger years were marred by relentless bullying, leaving me with many invisible scars.
The pain from my traumas sometimes sent me into a full-body survival response. In those moments, only one thing would bring me out of my suffering— dance. Movement became my refuge—a way to dissolve the freezing anxiety that shackled my sense of freedom and trust. I was at the height of a successful dance career, yet the revelation shook me that movement can be used to heal. This curiosity led me to study a rare, ancient meditation technique abroad. I also studied with renowned experts like Resmaa Manakem and Peter Levine. I discovered that a regulated nervous system was the key to healing past traumas, dissolving stress, and finding genuine happiness. I, and anyone who committed, could reprogram old patterns and embody new ones by simply breathing and moving our bodies intentionally. Inspired by what I learned, I began developing the TUNED MVMNT methodology, seeking advice from licensed medical doctors and neuroscientists.
In conclusion, both in theory and practice, the power of TUNED MVMNT proved astonishing, not only for myself but also for my clients. Here, I recognized my calling: to share this with my community by founding TUNED MVMNT. I’m grateful that we get to create experiences for humans to rewire their neural pathways, restore their sense of inner wholeness, and perform at their highest capacity.
